Free House Cleaning for Local Cancer Patients – Crystal Broom Partners with Cleaning for a Reason
For families facing cancer, everyday life gets complicated quickly
Between appointments, treatments, and recovery, there is often little time or energy left for keeping up the house. Crystal Broom Cleaning, a Clarendon Hills-based chamber member, has partnered with Cleaning for a Reason to help with that. Cleaning for a Reason is a nonprofit that connects cancer patients with professional cleaning companies that donate free home cleaning. Through this partnership, Crystal Broom Cleaning will help up to two cancer patients each month. Each patient receives two consecutive months of free home cleaning.
WHY IT MATTERS TO US "Cancer is personal for me. I lost my dad to lung cancer, and I know a diagnosis affects the whole family, not just the patient. When I found Cleaning for a Reason, it felt like a natural way for Crystal Broom Cleaning to give back. A clean home is one less thing to worry about, and our hope is that every patient we visit has a little more time and energy for their recovery and the people they love." – Sigita Mikuzyte, Owner, Crystal Broom Cleaning
WHO CAN APPLY The program is open to cancer patients who live within five miles of Clarendon Hills, Illinois. Patients of any age, gender, or type of cancer can apply through Cleaning for a Reason: https://cleaningforareason.org/patients/
